About

Dr. Dawn Flynn

Dawn Flynn, ND, LAc  is a naturopathic doctor and licensed acupuncturist who writes on topics related to the holistic treatment of depression, anxiety, chronic pain and addiction.

Physical health, emotional challenges, relationships, beliefs, and genetics all contribute to one’s well being. With this understanding, I take an integrated approach, incorporating natural therapies that work in harmony with the body to support its own inherent healing tendencies.  I seek to provide treatment that is as unique and dynamic as each person who comes to see me.

From my own experiences with illness I have come to recognize that healing, in whatever form it comes, is often an invitation to self-discovery. It brings us down and inward but has the capacity to propel us forward. It is an initiation into a new way of being, enabling us to fully participate in the cycles of life, engage our bodies in all we do and joyfully express the uniqueness of who we are.

I earned my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) and BS in Natural Health Sciences from Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA;  my MS in Acupuncture from Tri State College of Acupuncture in New York, NY, and received my Focusing Teacher Certification through Ann Weiser Cornell and competed Focusing Oriented Therapy and Complex Trauma with Jeffrey Morrison.  I’ve had additional training is using acupuncture in the treatment of addictions and mental illness .
