Oh! Hello there! Feel the Sun! Calling us out of hibernation and into the light! It’s time to move and stretch, clear away the cobwebs, remove the dust. Like a bud sprouting from it’s seed, pushing through the soil with all it’s might, now is the time of year we can freshly experience the force of new beginnings.

Dr. Dawn’s Whole Body Purification is a great way to incorporate the energies of Spring for improvement in health of the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Following principles of Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda, this detoxification plan spans 21 days and is unique to YOU. Through diet, mindfulness techniques, and the use of nutritional and botanical medicines your whole body is supported toward complete health.

For complete health, the whole person is addressed: mind, body, emotions, and spirit. Healing is a cleansing and re-balancing process that takes place in all of these areas. Once we take steps to cleanse and balance our bodies, we can maintain our new level of health into the future.


The Nutritional Plan


Because this diet is individualized it will be slightly different for each person. After reviewing your medical history and your nutritional preferences we will develop a plan that is unique to you. For example, some individuals may benefit from having a small amount of lean animal protein in the diet such as chicken, turkey, and fish. Others will find more benefit to avoiding meat completely. Some may benefit from limiting grains such as rice and oats in their diet, others may have improved health by including those foods regularly.

Most everyone following the Whole Body Purification plan will be avoiding refined sugar, caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, wheat, gluten, and dairy. For those that feel they will need extra support in eliminating any of these items from their routine, not to worry! Help will be provided. These items can be minimized over the course of the 21 day plan, so that by the end you have less desire for their effects.

Sample Daily Diet (organic when possible)

Breakfast: Quinoa porridge topped with cardamom, strawberries, walnuts and almond milk.

Lunch: Minestrone soup, rice cakes topped with hummus, watercress, sliced avocado, and tomato

Dinner; Grilled salmon with lemon and dill, leafy green salad with vegies, and balsamic vinaigrette.


Medical Office Visits: with Dr. Dawn Flynn

First visit: 1.5 hours will include discussion of

  • reasons for undergoing Detox
  • medical History review
  • food preferences, dislikes, food sensitivities
  • Schedule of work life, family life, activity level
  • Previous experiences with detoxification, weight management plans
  • Labs ordered may include hormone panel, food allergy test, blood work (billed separately, most covered at least partially by health insurance)

Second Visit 1 hour (at least one week after first visit) Getting Started!

  • Preview 21 Day Workbook that includes recipes and day to day plan based on your initial visit
  • Receive recommended nutritional and herbal supplements (billed separately, typically between $75-$200, depending on medical need and budget)
  • Recommendations for additional therapies including yoga, acupuncture, focusing, sauna therapy, massage, etc. (not included in cost).

Third Visit ½ hour Time to check in during the 21 days

  • Follow up on recommendations
  • Review any questions

Fourth visit; ½ hour Maintaining the benefit from your Purification

  • Integrating health discoveries into your future
  • Transitioning from purification to health maintenance
  • Review of resources to help you as you move forward with your health changes



Naturopathic Medicine

Nutritional and Herbal Supplements*

The focused use of nutritional and herbal supplements help the body’s detoxification systems work more efficiently. The season of Spring is advantageous for supporting the liver and gallbladder in detoxifying heavy metals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, agricultural and industrial chemicals, metabolic byproducts, and hormones. Specific nutrients support detoxification in the liver and safe elimination of waste products from fat cells and the colon so that you experience improved health.

Each person will be recommended supplements based on his or her need. On average the cost will range between $75 to $200 for one-month supply.


Lab Tests*

Food Allergy, Blood Type, Vit D, Thyroid Assessment, Gastrointestinal Profile, and Liver Detoxification tests may be useful in determining what nutritional plan and supplements will by most effective for you. These can be ordered after your initial visit and may be covered by your insurance plan.
